Why Are There Street Markings All Over New York City?
For the last year, Tom Wilson, a photographer, has been taking pictures of municipal street markings around New York City. On a recent walking tour, Michael Kimmelman, the architecture critic for The New York Times, helped Wilson decode the color-coded language that keeps the city running.
