Traffic restrictions on Chittur bridge in Kerala’s Palakkad

From September 5 to November 2, traffic restrictions will be enforced on the Chittur river bridge, which connects the Thattamangalam-Nattukal road. During this period, repairs will be carried out on the bridge. Motorists traveling towards Chittur are advised to utilize alternative routes such as Peruvambu junction-Palathully bridge or the Thattamangalam Ambattupalayam junction-Meenakshipuram-Vilayodi-Vandithavalam route.

Pedestrians will still be permitted to cross the bridge. Unfortunately, the construction work will also interfere with the drinking-water supply in certain wards of the Chittur-Thattamangalam municipality. This disruption will occur on alternate days for three days at a time, as the pipes will be temporarily disconnected for maintenance purposes.
