Fall sports is underway and it's time to cast your vote for this weeks Times-Reporter Athlete of the Week.
The first week of fall sports in the Tuscarawas area has arrived, and it's time for The Times-Reporter to recognize standout performances from student-athletes. Fans are invited to cast their vote for their favorite athlete during the inaugural Athlete of the Week poll for the upcoming week of August 17-23. The voting window will close on Friday, August 28 at Noon.
To nominate an athlete, send an email to sports@timesreporter.com by Sunday at Noon, including the athlete's name, school, sport, and a brief description of their accomplishment during the week.
Indian Valley football made a strong start to the season with a season opener victory over Green. Ryker Williams stepped into a leadership role, stepping up to the plate in his first leadership position. Dieter Weber, the Dover football player, had a stellar performance with 17 completed passes for 242 yards, one touchdown, and three rushing touchdowns.
