Texas police reveal no criminal findings and close case into death of Bills’ DT Ed Oliver’s son

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver's 1-year-old son's death has prompted a police investigation in Texas, which has concluded without any criminal findings, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office announced on Monday. The toddler, a few days short of his second birthday, was discovered unresponsive in a pool at a community home north of Houston on June 28.

He was rushed to the hospital but could not be revived. Police reports that a comprehensive investigation was conducted, leading to the determination that no criminal findings were made. The case has now been closed. Ed Oliver, who has been with the Bills since the 2019 draft, expressed his grief, acknowledging the unfortunate incident.

Quarterback Josh Allen also conveyed his support for Oliver during Buffalo's preseason game against Cleveland. The Bills organization has sought privacy for the family during this difficult time, with members offering condolences and support.
