Shoplot housing Village Park restaurant in Uptown Damansara set for RM5.3m auction

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 — The shoplot where the popular Village Park Restaurant in Damansara Utama, known for its nasi lemak, will be auctioned. A court document reveals that the three-and-a-half-story intermediate shop office at No. 5, Jalan SS21/37, Damansara Utama, will be sold through the e-Lelong system on October 1 at 9am. The property, freehold and registered under two deceased individuals, has a land area of 1,650 sq ft.

The mortgage for this property was issued by Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad on November 20, 2012. The auction, ordered by the High Court in Kuala Lumpur, will be held on an “as is where is” basis with a reserve price of RM5.3 million. Interested parties must deposit 10 per cent of the reserve price, around RM530,000, one working day before the auction, and pay the remainder within 120 days of the sale.

The successful bidder must secure vacant possession of the property. The e-Lelong auction will take place at the Kuantan Court Complex in Pahang. Prospective bidders are advised to perform a title search and inspect the property and its associated issues before the auction. The property is designated for commercial use.
