Robot beats fastest human on Earth’s 100m record

A humanoid robot beat retired Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt’s time in the 100-metre dash by a hair at the 2026 World Humanoid Robot Games on Aug. 22. It was just one feat of robot athleticism on display during the four-day event. Bolt still holds the title as fastest person in the world after setting the record during the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin.
