QC drivers will compete in Season Championship Night at Davenport Speedway

Davenport Speedway will host Season Championship Night on Monday, August 24, where local drivers aim to compete for track and national titles. Six weekly classes will determine track champions. Davenport Speedway boasts numerous representatives in IMCA classes, with top finishers having secured victories in recent features.

Spencer Diercks, from Davenport, leads the IMCA Modified national points, while Jed Frieburger, who won a race in Davenport earlier this season, sits fourth in the rankings. Jace Eckrich, a regular at Davenport, is 11th in national points.

Davenport's Logan Veloz leads the IMCA Late Model class in national points, currently at eighth place in the standings. The top Davenport finishers in IMCA classes include Travis Denning, Tommy Elston, and Curtis Glover, all of whom are in the top 12.

Local drivers Gary Webb, Dalton Simonsen, Nathan Balensiefen, and Jesse Bodin round out the top 20. Jarrett Franzen leads IMCA Northern SportMod points, and Brayton Carter is seventh in points.

Ben Chapman and Bryson Eckrich, both Davenport regulars, are also in the top 20. Three drivers who have raced at Davenport this season are among the top 10 in IMCA Stock Car national points: John Oliver Jr., Jordan Miles, and Kodey Miles.

Carson Butt, Karter Miles, and Randy LaMar are in the top 20 of IMCA Hobby Stock national points, all of whom have won features at Davenport this season. With Monday's date not conflicting with any other weekly track, outsiders may attempt to secure a win late in the season.

Most IMCA national titles are determined by a racer's best 25 finishes in the first 50 starts. The large number of rain-outs in the Midwest this season may leave some drivers still needing to reach the 50 race mark. For more information, visit the provided link.
