Qatar introduces AI-powered news radar for diplomats

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar has launched an innovative AI-powered news monitoring system called "Sard." This multilingual digital platform is designed to provide diplomats with real-time insights into breaking news, unfolding events, and social media conversations worldwide. HE Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi, the Ministry's Secretary-General, officially inaugurated the system.

The Sard platform will monitor information across various languages, enabling officials to analyze emerging developments and access crucial data to support their work. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr Majed bin Mohammed al-Ansari, Dr al-Ansari's role as Adviser to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HE Qatar's ambassador to Germany Abdullah bin Ibrahim al-Hamar, and multiple department directors from the ministry.

This initiative marks a significant step towards integrating AI technology into the ministry's daily operations, both at its headquarters and in Qatar's diplomatic missions around the globe.
