Politics Will Take Its Own Course, India-Bangladesh Must Work Together For People: Trivedi

Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi met with Bangladesh Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir on Monday to discuss strengthening business-to-business relations between the two countries. Trivedi emphasized that while politics will continue its own course, it is crucial for both nations to focus on delivering what people need. He expressed confidence in a positive future for both India and Bangladesh, stating that both countries are equal and should work together for their people.

Comparing the two nations, Trivedi noted that Bangladesh is a vibrant, sovereign, and independent country, just like India. He stressed the importance of treating each other as equals and working on that footing.

Trivedi highlighted the significance of peace and prosperity, asserting that prosperity would follow if peace is ensured. He believed it is the responsibility of both countries to provide peace and prosperity for the younger generation, with peace being their foremost concern.

Drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi, Trivedi urged leaders to ensure that every decision considers its impact on the poorest sections of society. He also called for greater exploration of joint-venture opportunities in Bangladesh, including projects in border regions. Trivedi emphasized the role of the private sector in bridging differences between the two countries, highlighting that governments alone cannot provide everything and must rely on the private sector. He expressed appreciation for the business communities of both nations.
