Packers coach Matt LaFleur to face off against Cardinals’ Mike LaFleur at joint practice

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur jokingly mentioned how he would intervene if fights break out during a joint practice with the Arizona Cardinals. This would be the first time the LaFleur brothers have coached against each other since Mike LaFleur took the Cardinals' position. They will also face each other in a preseason game at Lambeau Field on Friday.

Matt LaFleur's parents might show support for both teams, likely wearing green and red colors. The practice comes amid scrutiny over joint practices, with the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints recently fined for brawls. Both coaches emphasized the importance of maintaining the same standards for both teams. Matt LaFleur added that if things escalate, his brother Mike might challenge them at midfield.

Matt LaFleur also revealed that defensive tackle Warren Brinson will miss some time due to a calf injury sustained during pregame warmups. Running back Brandon Cisse practiced despite a knee issue that forced him to miss the Broncos game.
