One is making his name in tackle football, the other in the soccer version: Meet the Flowers

The Flowers brothers, Aaron and Benji, have chosen to pursue different variants of football. Aaron, a defensive back for No. 2 ranked Oregon, plays American football, while his younger brother Benji aspires to a career in soccer.

Benji, currently 15 years old, is set to join Premier League side Chelsea upon turning 18. His professional contract was signed in late July, making him the youngest player to do so as a homegrown player.

Benji jokes that he wasn't suited for football like his older brother, stating, "Well, he was way bigger than me, and also I think that he could take hits more, way more than me, and he was like twice my weight, twice my height, like around my age. So I think that’s probably why my parents thought it was really dangerous for me." His parents, therefore, encouraged his soccer career.

Aaron, a four-star safety from Forney, Texas, opted for American football over other prominent colleges such as USC, Baylor, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Alabama. He switched from soccer to football as he grew larger and began receiving red cards. Conversely, Benji, who began playing soccer at the age of 10 under the Dallas academy, has shown exceptional talent. The academy has previously nurtured U.S. stars Ricardo Pepi and Weston McKennie.

Chelsea's reported fee for Benji is $3 million, with potential add-ons reaching $10 million.
