NSA sets August 26 deadline for students with biodata mismatches

The National Service Authority (NSA) has extended a deadline for students with biodata mismatches, giving them until August 26 to report to the headquarters for assistance in resolving their cases. This directive was issued on Monday, August 24, targeting students who have been unable to correct discrepancies in their personal details, hindering their progress in the National Service registration process.

The NSA emphasized that affected students must visit their headquarters by August 26 to enable the required corrections and align their records for registration. The Authority is collaborating with the National Identification Authority (NIA), Ghana Publishing Company, and Commissioners for Oaths to facilitate the resolution of the biodata discrepancies. The collaboration aims to expedite the process for affected students, ensuring they can proceed with their National Service registration within the stipulated period.

Students who have not obtained the necessary affidavit will receive guidance in preparing and swearing the required document before a Commissioner for Oaths. This affidavit is essential for supporting the correction of the affected student’s biodata and facilitating the necessary changes to their records. Students facing issues that require a Gazette publication will be guided through this process with assistance from the Ghana Publishing Company.

The Gazette publication is part of the documentation needed to regularize specific biodata discrepancies.

Affected students should bring their original affidavit, Gazette publication (if applicable), and any other relevant supporting documents to the NSA headquarters. While possession of these documents does not automatically mean their records have been corrected, it is crucial for officials to verify students' identities and determine the appropriate corrections needed in their records.

The NSA strongly advised affected students to report promptly, urging them not to wait until the final day of the deadline. The Authority stressed that this intervention provides a final opportunity for students with unresolved biodata mismatches to regularize their records and complete their National Service registration. Students are encouraged to bring all relevant original documents, including their Ghana Card, affidavit, and Gazette publication (if applicable), to facilitate the process efficiently.
