NPA Facilitates Release of NDPHC Power Equipment Worth Billions

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has played a crucial role in facilitating the recovery and clearance of power equipment worth billions of naira that belonged to the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC). This equipment had been left idle and abandoned at various Nigerian seaports. The NDPHC's Managing Director, Jennifer Adighije, expressed gratitude to the NPA for its timely assistance, stating that the equipment was vital for the implementation of critical power projects across the country.

Had the recovery and clearance not been expedited, NDPHC might have faced significant financial losses and delays in project timelines. Adighije emphasized the importance of the NPA's intervention in strengthening Nigeria's power infrastructure and ensuring the effective delivery of ongoing and planned power projects. Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, the NPA's Managing Director, acknowledged NDPHC's contribution to the development of Nigeria's power sector and reaffirmed the Authority's commitment to supporting such initiatives.

He also assured NDPHC of the NPA's openness to meaningful engagements and continued collaboration in promoting economic growth, industrialization, and improved living standards.
