NCT 127 Shine Bright on 7th Full- Length Album ‘BLINGY’: Steam It Now

On Monday, August 24, K-pop group NCT 127 released their seventh full-length album, BLINGY, marking a decade of success in the industry. The album features nine tracks, including the hard-hitting Benjmn-produced title track and an accompanying video depicting the members hunting for all things blingy, such as glittery watches on the subway and a golden pig sculpture.

The album's mix of heavy drums, glitchy synths, and an energetic chant chorus creates a powerful anthem, with the refrain "Under bursting sparks, feelin' real blingy/Bringin' that bounce, make the whole club shimmy/Ooh, blingy. eyes on my city/I’mma big dog, fire it up higher, heat it" urging fans to embrace their blingy spirit.

The album highlights NCT 127's journey over the past decade while staying true to their sound and identity, encapsulated by the central slogan "CALL 127," emphasizing the unity between the group and their fans as "One Team." Other tracks like the high-energy gospel-infused "Legacy," the bouncy funk-rap-meets-rock "Piñata" and "Step Up," and the futuristic banger "IKR" showcase the group's diverse musical styles.

The album also includes the pop ballad "Getaway" and the reflective "I mean, It’s about time," which looks back at the past decade and promises to continue moving forward as a cohesive unit.

NCT 127 is preparing to hit cinemas worldwide with the NCT 127 TOUR 'NEO CITY : SEOUL — THE REDLINE' live cinema event, set to release on September 20. The concert will be screened in theaters around the world, capturing the group's fifth world tour kickoff show from Seoul's Olympic Park KSPO Dome. With ticket sales starting on August 27, fans will have the opportunity to witness the group's return to full concerts after a two-year hiatus, featuring the return of chart members TAEYONG and JAEHYUN, who missed the previous tour due to mandatory military service.
