Motilal Oswal Foundation Pledges ₹25 Crore To Strengthen Rishihood University

Sonipat: The Motilal Oswal Foundation has pledged ₹25 crore over the next three years to bolster Rishihood University's leadership, governance, academic systems and organizational capabilities. The monumental commitment was formalized at the university's Sonipat campus on August 24, making it the institution's inaugural major philanthropic grant dedicated to institutional development and organizational growth.

This innovative funding approach is structured around milestones, with progress evaluated against predetermined outcomes encompassing leadership development, faculty capacity, governance, financial endurance, academic quality, fundraising capacity, research, and both national and international engagement. Speaking at the event, Motilal Oswal, the Chairman and Trustee of the Motilal Oswal Foundation, emphasized that robust educational institutions have the power to mold generations and contribute to nation-building.

He further highlighted that philanthropy creates enduring value when it endows institutions with the ability to generate impact long after the initial funding has been utilized. For Rishihood University, this grant signifies a significant transformation in the nature of external funding it has historically received. Prior funding rounds primarily targeted capital projects or specific programs, whereas this commitment is specifically geared towards enhancing the university's institutional capabilities.
