Montreal Victoire’s missing PWHL championship Walter Cup trophy found and reunited with team

The Montreal Victoire's missing Walter Cup championship trophy has been discovered and reunited with the team, the Professional Women's Hockey League announced on Monday. The Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) detailed the event in a statement, expressing gratitude for everyone who assisted in locating the trophy and praising fans for their concern and support.

The PWHL noted that the trophy went missing during shipment last week, failing to arrive in Lethbridge, Alberta, where it was intended to be with Victoire forward Dara Greig. The PWHL revealed the lost trophy was a replica, known as the team's "keeper" cup, not the original sterling silver Walter Cup housed at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

The league is currently working with its shipping company to determine the cup's whereabouts. The "keeper" cup, weighing approximately 35 pounds and standing 24 inches tall, was won by Montreal in May after defeating Ottawa in the championship series.
