Measures planned to improve quality of services at Telangana Tourism’s Haritha hotels

The Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) is implementing a series of initiatives to enhance the quality of services and overall experience at its Haritha hotels across the state. These measures aim to align the properties with leading hospitality standards.

Managing Director P. Gouthami conducted surprise inspections of Haritha hotels to evaluate their accommodation facilities, restaurants, kitchens, food quality, hygiene, staff performance, maintenance, and service standards. Inspectors were directed to maintain strict adherence to food quality and kitchen hygiene standards.

As a result of the inspections, departmental action was taken against Sambashiva Rao, Unit Manager of Haritha Hotel in Vikarabad, on August 23, 2026. TGTDC is also aiming to incorporate practices used by star hotels to improve guest comfort and overall experience.

To further enhance service quality, a CCTV-based live monitoring system will be installed in the kitchens of all Haritha hotel units. This will enable continuous monitoring of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and staff activities. Dedicated vigilance teams will conduct regular inspections and review various aspects such as food quality, kitchen hygiene, room maintenance, and other services. Corrective action will be initiated wherever deficiencies are identified.

In addition to these measures, TGTDC is implementing an automated booking system for Haritha hotels. This system will enable tourists to check room availability online and make reservations. The corporation's focus is on elevating the properties to the highest hospitality standards, with an emphasis on food quality, hygiene, service standards, continuous monitoring, and the strategic use of technology to modernize and make Haritha hotels more reliable and tourist-friendly.
