The English Premier League club is reportedly considering a late transfer for the Dutch player in the current transfer window. De Jong, 29, has been in impressive form at Barcelona over the past season, scoring one goal and providing eight assists in 38 matches across all competitions.

He is one of the most experienced central midfielders in La Liga and is currently under contract until the summer of 2029, which may complicate any potential deal with Manchester City.
