LS ELECTRIC Lands $166 Million North American Big Tech Data Center Power Deal

LS ELECTRIC, a South Korean power-equipment manufacturer, has secured a significant contract worth $165.72 million for providing power equipment to an artificial intelligence (AI) data center being developed by a major North American technology company. The deal, announced on August 24, represents a substantial expansion of an earlier $70.43 million contract signed in June and is expected to run from June 8, 2026, to January 30, 2027.

This new contract is more than double the value of the initial agreement, which comprised a 38-kilovolt high-voltage power distribution system. The expanded order was granted following the customer's request for additional equipment. The contract's duration and the timing of its signing indicate LS ELECTRIC's strong performance under the previous data center infrastructure project, demonstrating its capability to meet the rigorous standards set by global technology firms.

LS ELECTRIC's success in securing this order can be attributed to its robust U.S. manufacturing network, which includes facilities in Utah and Texas. These domestic production sites allow the company to enhance supply chain stability and improve delivery efficiency, providing a competitive edge in meeting the demands of global tech companies.

The company plans to leverage this contract to further expand its offerings in next-generation AI data center power infrastructure, including direct-current power distribution systems, as the demand for data center power surges due to AI's growing influence.

Following its earlier contract execution, LS ELECTRIC has continued to secure additional orders from key global tech customers, positioning itself as a vital partner in the industry. The expanded contract is anticipated to bolster LS ELECTRIC's North American sales, as the company continues to capitalize on the ongoing global investment in AI data center infrastructure.
