Descartes Systems Group has acquired Tai Software for approximately US$100 million, as announced in Toronto. The purchaser, a logistics and supply chain software company, provides AI-powered transportation management services for freight brokers, aiding them in quoting, carrier sourcing, load execution, billing, and customer engagement.

Tai Software's AI tools help manage complex transportation networks that are increasingly dynamic and intricate. Descartes Systems Group CEO, Edward Ryan, believes the acquisition compliments his company's strengths in carrier onboarding, compliance, fraud prevention, and real-time visibility. He envisions a significant opportunity to assist freight brokers in navigating change, streamlining freight execution, enhancing operating margins, strengthening client and carrier relationships, and supporting digital transformation.

Descartes Systems Group's annual subscription to Tai Software is priced at $205.00 plus GST for one year, with automatic renewal at $233.00 plus GST every 52 weeks - a 10% discount off the regular annual price of $259.35.
