Kayshon Boutte Trade Grades: Did Patriots Get Enough Back in Deal With Texans?

The Patriots made a late-season trade with the Texans, acquiring wide receiver Kayshon Boutte in exchange for safety Jaylen Reed and a draft pick. Both teams have aspirations of winning the Super Bowl, so this trade is intriguing. The Texans received Boutte, who has consistently produced more than 550 receiving yards in each of the last two seasons and can stretch the field, making him a valuable addition to the wide receiver room behind Nico Collins.

However, the Patriots received safety Jaylen Reed, a versatile player who played in seven games as a rookie last year. While Boutte's contract expires after the season, the Texans had little to lose by trading him, as they have Super Bowl aspirations.
