Joy Taylor Slams NFL’s ‘Greedy’ Schedule Expansion

Following her departure from Fox Sports in July 2025, Joy Taylor has remained active in various endeavors. She has been hosting her podcast, Two Personal, in its third season, along with a new micro-podcast called The Daily Play, which she launched with Urban One Podcast Network. Taylor also manages a charitable foundation and is investing in sports startups.

In an interview with Front Office Sports, she expressed her view that the NFL's continuous attempts to expand its schedule are "greedy" and potentially misguided. Taylor explained that the NFL's success during its season was due to its well-maintained sense of urgency, with each game feeling crucial. She argued that introducing more games could dilute this sense of urgency, as viewers have numerous distractions in their lives such as jobs, family, and other sports activities.

When discussing the NFL's ongoing strategy for international expansion, Taylor expressed support for the league's ambition but cautioned against overextending its fan base. She believes a team in London is likely to occur due to the short flight times from the East Coast and the absence of a language barrier. However, she advised the NFL to exercise caution and not take advantage of its fans excessively, stating that it already possesses ample resources.
