JetBlue opens second BlueHouse lounge in Boston on Thursday

Boston Logan International Airport will soon welcome a second BlueHouse airport lounge operated by JetBlue Airways. The new 12,000-square-foot facility, scheduled to open at Terminal C on Thursday, August 27, 2026, will offer an array of amenities to enhance the passenger experience. Visitors can expect dining options featuring locally inspired cuisine like North Shore roast beef sliders and crab and shrimp rolls, as well as beverages sourced from regional suppliers including George Howell Coffee and New England craft beers. A work area and a game room will also be available to cater to the diverse needs of travelers.

In addition to the expanded lounge, JetBlue will soon extend complimentary access to BlueHouse lounges for all customers traveling on Mint or Mint Flex fares, a significant change from the previous policy that limited complimentary access to Mosaic 4 members and JetBlue Premier cardmembers. This new policy is expected to be introduced in the coming weeks.

To complement these updates, JetBlue has announced the launch of Mint Base, a new, more affordable fare option. This fare will not include the perks of BlueHouse access or complimentary advanced seat selection, and customers will be required to pay fees for changes and cancellations. Although the Mint Base fare offers a more budget-friendly alternative, JetBlue remains committed to providing top-tier hospitality and amenities to its passengers.

Marty St. George, president of JetBlue, expressed enthusiasm about the new BlueHouse lounge, stating that it will offer customers a unique experience characterized by thoughtful hospitality and elevated amenities. Mosaic 4 members and JetBlue Premier cardmembers will continue to enjoy complimentary access to the lounge, along with one complimentary guest.

Mint customers will receive complimentary access for themselves and one guest, with additional guests charged $39 each. For those who prefer a more flexible option, Mosaic 1-3 members and other cardmembers can purchase one-time passes ranging from $59 to $79 per person, depending on availability. All customers must present a confirmed same-day boarding pass for access to the lounge, up to three hours prior to their scheduled departure.

With over 133 daily departures from Boston to 68 destinations this summer, Boston Logan International Airport continues to be a vital hub for JetBlue Airways. The city serves as the airline's second-largest focus market, underscoring the company's commitment to providing exceptional service and convenient travel options for passengers in the region.
