Jersey Bulls 'got away with it' despite FA Cup win

Jersey Bulls secured a 4-1 victory over Sheerwater FC in their FA Cup preliminary round tie, despite a poor first 25 minutes of the game. The home side trailed after 12 minutes, with manager Elliot Powell expressing dissatisfaction with his team's performance. However, a hat-trick from summer signing Sammy Henia-Kamau and a well-executed goal from Lorne Bickley turned the tide in favor of Jersey Bulls.

Powell acknowledged that the second half was far better than the first and reiterated the club's ambition to reach the first round proper of the FA Cup. He emphasized that while the league is the priority, their ultimate goal is to play at prestigious grounds like Sheffield Wednesday or Leicester City. Jersey Bulls currently sit sixth in the Isthmian League South Central Division.
