iOS 27 Beta 7 is out, Beta 8 is next, and Apple’s fall software is nearly ready

Apple has released iOS 27 Beta 7, the seventh beta version for its fall software lineup, while iPhone 18 Pro launch event preparations continue. The update brings upgrades to all Apple platforms, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. These beta versions have been primarily focused on improving stability and fixing bugs, with minimal new features.

While some minor UI tweaks or icon changes are possible, users shouldn't anticipate significant new additions. The previous beta, Beta 6, was released a week earlier. Apple typically conducts eight to ten beta builds before finalizing the software. A new AI-powered shopping assistant has begun appearing on select iPhones, but Apple has not officially announced it.

Meanwhile, Samsung and Corning may soon introduce a scratch-resistant and self-healing display coating for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, potentially making pricey smartphones more feasible. Apple is also reportedly planning to increase iPhone prices slightly when the iPhone 18 Pro generation launches, possibly settling for a smaller price bump compared to recent estimates.
