iOS 27: All the New Safari Features

Apple has introduced numerous new Safari features in iOS 27, focusing on enhancements powered by Apple Intelligence. One key addition is automatic tab organization, where Safari uses Apple Intelligence to group open tabs into relevant topics, making it easier to browse. To enable this feature, users can tap on the three-line icon in the tab view and turn on the Automatically Create Topics setting.

This allows for easy filtering of tabs by topic and resuming browsing from recently closed or open tabs on other devices. Additionally, Safari now includes the ability to create custom extensions using AI, with options such as generating citations, timers, font size adjustments, and creative transformations like turning pages into pirate speak or styling websites like 90s designs.

The Notify Me feature enables Safari to monitor websites for changes and alert users, useful for tracking concert ticket sales or product restocks. Passwords app can also automatically update weak or compromised passwords using Apple Intelligence. Parental controls have been expanded with the Ask to Browse feature, requiring children to get parental approval before visiting a new website.

Performance improvements include better power efficiency, faster web app loading, quicker JavaScript handling, smoother animations, and improved graphics. These Safari enhancements require Apple Intelligence, available on iPhone 15 Pro and later, and are included in iOS 27, which is available to developers and public beta testers ahead of its fall release alongside new iPhone models.
