I dumped Firefox, but these 5 features finally won me back - here's why

Firefox, once bloaty and feature-lacking, has recently transformed itself into a browser that suits my needs perfectly. Over the past year, a slew of features have coalesced to make the browser an appealing option once again. Here are five of those features:

Open tabs in their respective containers, and you can keep your information safe across multiple accounts.

4. VPN: Firefox's built-in VPN service, currently in beta, provides a convenient and accessible way to encrypt your internet connection. The VPN button in the toolbar allows you to enable or disable the feature at any time. This VPN service works well, and its integration within the browser makes it easy to use whenever needed.

5. AI: Firefox's approach to AI integration is simple yet flexible. With the Smart Window feature, you can control whether AI features are enabled or disabled and choose to use local AI, AI hosted on a server, or no AI at all. Moreover, Firefox offers an AI chatbot in the sidebar that supports multiple providers, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and Mistral Vibe. This AI integration proves that Firefox is keeping up with the latest advancements in the field.
