‘I do the work myself’: Amitabh Bachchan on managing household chores when help isn’t around

Actor Amitabh Bachchan, who first hosted the long-running quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati over 25 years ago, shared a personal anecdote about managing household chores with no domestic help during a recent episode. When contestant Preetiraj posed a question about his wife, Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh revealed his clever trick of informing the family in advance about his late-night return.

He explained that by saving family members' names in his contacts and sending a 'Namaskar' message with folded hands, he could avoid being scolded for his tardiness. Additionally, when no staff members were present at home, Amitabh took on the responsibility of cleaning and other chores. He confessed that he lacks cooking skills, so he either orders food from outside or asks Jaya to prepare different dishes for him each day, which she seems to enjoy.
