Hayden Panettiere's mother breaks silence after her death

Lesley Vogel, the mother of late actress Hayden Panettiere, has spoken out about how she hopes her daughter will be remembered. In an interview with ABC News, Vogel expressed her desire for Hayden to be remembered as a talented, beautiful, outgoing, and intelligent woman. Hayden, who passed away at the age of 36, was found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 16. Emergency responders tried to revive her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hayden, known for her roles in "Heroes," "Nashville," and "Ice Princess," had spoken publicly about her complex relationship with her mother. In a May interview with ABC News, Hayden mentioned that maintaining a healthy mother-daughter relationship had been challenging, and she hoped the door to improve their bond would open. However, her mother responded with a statement to Page Six, indicating she had chosen the no-contact route after receiving advice from professionals.

The Greenville City Police Department is leading the investigation into Hayden's death, with the Drug Enforcement Administration assisting. A police report obtained by ABC News reveals that Hayden was with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach Hickerson, at the time of her passing. The report does not disclose whether Hayden had been using drugs or alcohol.

The coroner's office has stated that Hayden's official cause and manner of death remain pending further investigation and additional studies.
