Gunpoint robbery on Delhi-Meerut Expwy, Rs 25L lost

A businessman from Meerut lost Rs 25 lakh to armed robbers on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway on Friday evening. The gang pulled over his Thar vehicle and threatened him with a pistol, demanding to know if he had a relative they were searching for. When the businessman denied knowledge of the missing woman, the robbers threatened him and took the cash inside a bag.

The assault lasted around 10 minutes, despite other vehicles continuing to pass on the busy highway. Police suspect the gang had been tracking the businessman before stopping him and have detained three suspects, seizing the two vehicles involved in the incident. Investigators are now questioning the suspects to identify the remaining members of the gang and determine how they knew Gillaman was carrying the large sum of money.
