Google Clock and Pixel Magnifier roll out icon redesigns

Google has recently rolled out redesigned icons for its Google Clock and Pixel Magnifier applications. The update is available across all Android devices, with the Pixel 11 launch as the primary driver. The new Google Clock icon features thicker, pill-like hour and minute hands, reminiscent of Pixel Watch faces. The blue gradient face is no longer edge-to-edge, instead resting on a white background, a trend seen in other first-party Google apps.

Unlike Chrome, which has a distinct circular icon, the Clock and YouTube Music share a rounded square format on macOS. The non-live icon displays hands at 9:10, with a dot marking the 30-minute point. App shortcuts have minor icon tweaks, and the phrase "Create alarm/timer" replaces "New alarm/timer" in the app. Google Clock version 9.1 is now widely accessible through the Play Store.

In a separate development, Pixel Magnifier received a version 2.0.0.965719431 update, accompanied by a new icon. The background is no longer blue, and the magnifying glass is thicker, featuring a gradient effect as the square fills in. The Quick Settings Tile icon has also been updated to match the design changes.
