French version of 'A Qatari on Banks of the Seine' published

The French adaptation of the book "A Qatari on the Banks of the Seine: Cultural Dialogue," authored by Dr. Nasser bin Hamad al-Hanzab, the Permanent Representative of Qatar to UNESCO and President of the Organisation's Executive Board, has recently hit shelves under the title "Un Qatari au bord de la Seine, Dialogue culturel." The translation, carried out by Khadija Toukkabri, was published by L Harmattan following its debut in Arabic by Rosa Publishing House.

Dr. al-Hanzab expressed his delight in the French publication, stating it extends the cultural dialogue initiated from his personal experience in Qatar. He believes this translation allows French and European readers to gain a more nuanced understanding of Qatar and its culture, deviating from stereotypical portrayals. The book's significance lies in its ability to convey these experiences in a language and culture that are familiar to a broader audience, thereby fostering mutual understanding between Qatari and French cultures.
