European tech weekly recap: More than 45 tech funding deals worth over €684M

Last week, European tech funding saw over 45 deals worth more than €684 million, along with exits, M&A transactions and related news. FinTech led in funding with €239.2 million, followed by robotics at €178 million and AI at €99 million. Switzerland topped funding with €172.5 million, followed by France at €150 million and the UK at €122.9 million.

In Switzerland, SoftBank invested $200M in robotics startup Gravis Robotics. France's Ingenico secured €150M in fresh capital. Spain's Rillet raised a $100M investment at a valuation of $1B. The UK saw Callosum raise $100M in seed round funding. Germany's Oceanloop and Flip secured up to €38.5M and $25M respectively, to expand in AI and frontline worker technologies.

Sweden's Pixelgen Technologies raised $15.5M in Series B funding, while Redfaire landed €13M from BGF to scale its ERP and cloud services. SweGaN raised €12.1M to scale gallium nitride on silicon carbide epitaxial wafer production. Lithuania's LITILIT received €8M for femtosecond lasers in mass manufacturing. Germany's amber received €7M for its AI-powered business knowledge platform.

Medly AI raised $8M for AI-powered tutoring, and AssistMe secured €6.5M in Germany. Computomics raised €6.3M for climate-smart plant breeding in the country. Denmark's Velatir got €5M for AI infrastructure expansion. UK's Oshen raised €4.27M for robot swarms to act as ocean's "eyes and ears". Sweden's Solinide closed €4M to commercialise photonic chips for AI data centres.

Norway's Birdsview raised €3.7M for "MRI for concrete" technology, while Iceland's SnerpaPower secured €3.4M to help power-intensive industries. UK's Noggin HQ became the nation's newest credit reference agency. Singular Photonics developed next-generation image sensors in Denmark. Aisel raised €1.7M to tackle psychiatry's capacity crisis.

AI diagnostics startup Eyedentity secured €1.4M in Sweden. Qodia received €1.2M investment in Germany. bmp Ventures invested €500,000 in LabThunder. EcoNomad raised £400,000 for waste-to-energy tech in the UK. Paralo aimed to tackle golf’s fragmented technology stack with £270,000.
