Emily Compagno Joins Fox News’ ‘The Five’

Fox News has announced that Emily Compagno will join the popular panel show “The Five” as a full-time co-host, beginning Sept. 8. Compagno will take her place alongside Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, and Jesse Watters, while Jessica Tarlov and Harold Ford Jr. will continue in their rotating roles. Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott praised Compagno, calling her a “highly accomplished host” whose presence will make “The Five” an even more sought-after show for millions of Americans.

Compagno, who joined Fox News as a contributor in 2018, has been a long-time co-host of “Outnumbered” since 2021. She is also the author of “Under His Wings,” which debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list. The network noted that “The Five” has become one of the most-watched cable news programs, averaging 3.6 million total viewers and 322,000 viewers in the crucial 25-54 demographic during the second quarter.

“Fifteen years later, ‘The Five’ remains a powerhouse and appointment viewing for millions of Americans,” said Scott. Compagno expressed her excitement about joining the show, stating that being an official co-host on what she believes is the funniest show on television is a privilege. With “Outnumbered” now leaving an empty co-host position, rotating Fox News personalities will fill the spot until a permanent replacement is chosen.
