Dubai Municipality cuts oil and fat testing time from 2 hours to 2 minutes

Dubai Central Laboratory, under the Dubai Municipality, has introduced cutting-edge automated technology to test oil and fat quality. This innovation has slashed testing time from two hours to a mere two minutes, while dramatically boosting laboratory capacity. The technology ensures precise and trustworthy analysis without human intervention, allowing for the early detection of oxidation and quality indicators in oils and fats during production and storage.

This advancement bolsters Dubai Municipality's proactive food control measures, guaranteeing the safety and quality of food products across the emirate. The new system achieves a staggering 900% increase in daily testing capacity, transforming from handling six samples per day to a remarkable 60 samples. This efficiency enables the laboratory to process a larger volume of samples more effectively.

Furthermore, the technology aligns with Dubai Central Laboratory's commitment to environmentally-friendly practices by eliminating the need for chemical consumables used in traditional testing methods.
