‘Disparage India’s traditions and heritage’: CM Yogi tears into Rahul Gandhi’s Manusmriti remarks

Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for disparaging India's traditions and heritage in his recent remarks on Manusmriti. During an event in Raebareli, Adityanath stated that Gandhi believes it's his birthright to insult India's traditions. He questioned the country's expectations for Gandhi, noting that his role as Leader of the Opposition comes with a duty to uphold India's democracy.

Adityanath accused Gandhi of insulting the country's army and discrediting Hindu Gods. When Gandhi spoke about women not belonging to their fathers, husbands, or sons but to themselves, Adityanath posed a rhetorical question about who doesn't rely on a woman's protection in some form. He also criticized Gandhi for maligning the state, India, and Hindu Gods when abroad.
