Denmark's PM blasts plastic surgeon for his unsolicited offer to 'fix' spot on her nose

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen expressed her exasperation with unsolicited cosmetic advice she receives on social media. The 48-year-old politician recently returned from a trip to Ukraine, where she witnessed the ongoing war, including air raid sirens, before receiving a message from a plastic surgeon proposing to "fix that little spot on your nose."

Over the years, Frederiksen has received numerous messages regarding her appearance, particularly her teeth, hair, and a perceived "wart" on her nose, along with recommendations for Botox treatments. She shared a screenshot of the plastic surgeon's offer on Instagram, but did not reveal his identity. The prime minister, a Social Democrat and the country's second female leader, responded with a post stating, "Oh no. I’m happy with my body — I really don’t need a male plastic surgeon to have an opinion about it!"

Frederiksen, who has served as Denmark's prime minister for three terms, is now in her third term and one of Europe's most experienced leaders. She has vowed to remain committed to opposing U.S. President Donald Trump's aspirations for Greenland and to supporting Ukraine against Russia's military aggression. On her social media platform, Frederiksen clarified that she does not alter others' appearances and that she is content with her body as a woman approaching 50.

She further urged anyone who contacts her to discuss topics beyond her physical appearance, stating, "If you're going to write to me (and you're more than welcome to), I hope you’ll use your time to talk about something more meaningful. Not my nose."
