Cristiano Ronaldo showcased his support for the Esports World Cup during its grand finale in Paris, alongside other high-profile figures. The event, which concluded after seven weeks of intense competition, saw the presence of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, French President Emmanuel Macron, and FIFA president Gianni Infantino. Ronaldo, a captain of Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr, also served as the global ambassador for the tournament.

The Esports World Cup, launched in Riyadh in 2024, is considered the largest esports event globally, boasting immense prize money and representation from numerous titles. This year's edition, held in Paris due to regional instability, attracted over 2,000 players from 200 clubs across 100 countries. The competition featured 24 games and 25 tournaments, with an overall prize pool surpassing $75 million, marking one of the largest esports events in history.

Among the significant achievements, AG.AL emerged victorious in the Club Championship, claiming $7 million in prize money. The tournament's final day saw a thrilling conclusion, with French player Gwendal "Gwen" Duparc securing the overall championship for AG.AL. This victory was significant, as it meant Saudi Arabia's Team Falcons could not claim the overall title for a third consecutive year.

The championship remained uncertain until the final day, when Team Falcons narrowly led with 4,600 points, only to be overtaken by Duparc in the Trackmania play-offs.
