Court remands man accused of sexually abusing four daughters

The Kasoa Ofaakor Court has returned a 44-year-old man, Emmanuel Ekumfi, into police custody on allegations that he sexually abused his four daughters in Gomoa Dominase, Gomoa East District, Central Region. The charges against Ekumfi include defilement and sodomy. His next court appearance is set for September 15, 2026.

The case emerged after the children's mother, Antoinette Boakye, observed odd behaviors in her eldest daughter, who then reportedly confessed to her father's abuse. Boakye claims that her granddaughter revealed that her father had sexually assaulted her, and that the remaining three of her younger siblings had also been victims of similar abuse. The information was subsequently reported to the Kasoa Millennium City Police, resulting in Ekumfi's arrest and subsequent trial.

Boakye expressed her concern to Adom News, urging for a swift court hearing and the provision of appropriate protection and support for her daughters. The allegations, however, have not been substantiated by court proceedings, and Ekumfi is considered innocent until proven guilty.
