CM Mohan Yadav Meets Tribal Leaders Over Area-Specific Issues

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav convened a meeting on Monday with tribal MPs, MLAs, and ministers to address area-specific issues affecting tribal communities in Madhya Pradesh. The discussions centered around the ongoing agitations by farmers and Generation Z, as well as the development work in tribal areas.

Yadav engaged in talks with ministers Sampatiya Uike, Nagar Singh Chouhan, and Nirmala Bhuria, alongside MPs Faggan Singh Kulaste, Gajendra Patel, and Himadri Singh, along with other tribal leaders. The Jay Adiwasi Yuva Shakti (JAYS) played a significant role in the discussions.

The Congress and JAYS had organized several events across the state on the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples on August 9, drawing hundreds of tribal participants. In response, the government plans to organize functions on November 15, Birsa Munda's birthday, to further the welfare of tribal people.

During the meeting, it was decided to hold events throughout the state on November 15, commemorating Birsa Munda's birthday, to highlight the issues related to education and health in tribal regions. The government acknowledged the importance of keeping tribal people involved in the uniform civil code, emphasizing the need for a positive approach.

Recently, 24 tribal children in Balaghat district died from malaria, measles, and malnutrition, raising concerns about the situation in Birsa and Baihar areas. The government expressed worry about the conditions in these districts, particularly following the recent fatalities. A legislator raised concerns over the perceived arbitrary behavior of officers in these areas.

Yadav intends to hold further meetings with BJP leaders in divisions, already having interacted with divisional leaders. These meetings will focus on coordination between divisional leaders and the government's organizational work.
