Clayton Kershaw to Broadcast Upcoming Dodgers Game

Los Angeles Dodgers legend Clayton Kershaw is scheduled to fill in as a broadcast analyst during Tuesday's match against the Atlanta Braves. He will join the SportsNet LA coverage, taking over the color commentary role typically occupied by Orel Hershiser and Eric Karros. Kershaw will work alongside play-by-play announcer Joe Davis and field reporter Kirsten Watson.

This will be his debut broadcast for SportsNet LA, marking his first official appearance in the booth for that particular network. The event will be limited to the opening game of the three-game series in Atlanta, with Hershiser resuming his duties for the subsequent two games. Kershaw, who hung up his cleats after the 2025 season, held a remarkable 223-96 record and boasted a career ERA of 2.53 across his 18-year career.

During his tenure, he earned 11 All-Star selections, three Cy Young Awards, and a Gold Glove. He was also crowned National League MVP in 2014, achieving a no-hitter that same year. Additionally, Kershaw won three World Series titles with the Dodgers. Currently, the 38-year-old is an assistant special in the Dodgers' baseball operations department and contributes as an analyst for "Sunday Night Baseball" on NBC Sports.

He has made two appearances on the show this season, both for Dodgers games. Ahead of the season launch, Kershaw expressed enthusiasm about retirement, stating that it provided him with a newfound sense of freedom and the opportunity to spend more time with his family and engage in various activities.
