CJP Calls For September 5 Delhi March, Accuses Centre Of Betraying Youth Over Unkept Promises

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced a protest march in Delhi on September 5, accusing the central government of betraying the youth over unfulfilled promises. The march, scheduled for Teachers' Day, will commence at India Gate and conclude at the Delhi Police Headquarters. Families of students who tragically took their own lives following the cancellation of the NEET examination and subsequent re-test, along with those affected by police excesses during the July agitation, will lead the procession.

The CJP National Working Committee decided to hold the march a month after the party ended its 36-day agitation following negotiations with the Centre. In a statement, the CJP expressed its disappointment, stating that patience should not be mistaken for weakness, and good faith should not be exploited by the government to betray young people.

The agitation, which began as a satirical online platform in June, initially protested examination irregularities and the NEET paper leak, spreading nationwide before culminating on July 25.

The CJP alleges that the government has failed to honor the commitments made during the negotiations, particularly concerning the withdrawal of FIRs against protesters and the protection of those affected by police violence. The dispute remains unresolved, leaving the CJP to renew its call for a demonstration on September 5, emphasizing the need for the government to keep its word.
