Chhattisgarh CM urges workers' children to dream big, work hard

Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized the importance of providing quality education and equal opportunities to the children of workers during a felicitation ceremony for the Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Yojana on Monday. The CM, addressing a gathering at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, highlighted that workers were the backbone of Chhattisgarh's development and ensuring their children's education, security, and prosperity was a top priority for his government.

Over ₹39.67 crore was directly transferred to 1,45,841 workers' bank accounts through various labor welfare schemes. Sai expressed satisfaction at seeing children from workers' families exhibiting confidence in English and excelling in various fields, stating that with the right opportunities and quality education, talent could overcome any circumstance.

The Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Yojana, initially launched for 100 students, has now expanded to 200 pupils, offering free education from Class 6 to 12 at residential institutions across Chhattisgarh's 33 districts. The scheme aims to provide a conducive educational environment, confidence, and equal opportunities for children to pursue their aspirations.

Sai urged the students to dream big, work hard, and remain disciplined, sharing his own experiences and encouraging them to aspire to become doctors, engineers, scientists, administrators, entrepreneurs, or serve society. The Chief Minister also mentioned new educational opportunities being created in remote areas, including Education Cities in Orchha and Jagargunda.

Deputy Labour Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan reported that over ₹774 crore had been transferred to workers via DBT under welfare schemes in the past 2.5 years. Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma affirmed that the Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Yojana provided children of workers with the chance to realize their aspirations through quality education.
