Chad Tracy, currently serving as interim manager of the Boston Red Sox following Alex Cora's dismissal, is reportedly the frontrunner to secure the permanent managerial position for the upcoming season. Since assuming leadership from Cora, Tracy boasts a 61-42 record, effectively salvaging the season.

The Red Sox were on the brink of a disappointing campaign, but Tracy's strategic decisions and team management have steered them towards postseason eligibility. Aided by a remarkable 15-game winning streak, Tracy's leadership has placed the team in contention for the World Series.

According to MassLive's Chris Cotillo, a source close to the situation indicates that it's highly probable Tracy will be given the full-time managerial role before the next season begins. "While the Red Sox have undoubtedly considered other candidates, Tracy presently appears to have the advantage, though this is not a certainty," Cotillo reported on Monday.

The Red Sox management aims to explore all possible options in their search for a permanent manager, but the likelihood of replacing Tracy seems unwarranted.
