Catalyst Symposium Holds “Alaigbo” Series in South-East, Empowers Youths

The Catalyst Symposium recently held its Alaigbo Series in Anambra and Imo States, with events in Awka and Owerri respectively. The aim of the series is to empower youths from the region to make impactful contributions to nation building. The Anambra edition took place on Aug. 13 at the state capital, while the Owerri event was held on Aug.

17 at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO). Both events saw a lively audience of emerging leaders, entrepreneurs, young professionals, and students. The events were designed to catalyze minds, ignite ideas, and empower the people of Alaigbo to move from survival to significance. The Awka edition featured powerful discussions on leadership, business growth, and regional transformation, with key speakers Philip O. Ekwempu Esq. and Eze Chinonso.

Their sessions emphasized sustainable wealth creation and bold entrepreneurship in Alaigbo. Dr. Macaulay Barnabas, the Event Host and Lead Moderator, played a significant role in ensuring the success of both events. Dolapo Arogundade, the convener of The Catalyst Symposium, displayed unwavering dedication throughout the planning and execution of the series.

The Owerri edition, styled as the 'Eze Chinonso Special', served as a homecoming for the special guest at his alma mater, FUTO. It included the 'Catalyst Pitch and Mentorship Programme', where 13 scholars pitched their business ideas and were chosen to undergo a three-week mentorship program. The quality of engagement, free access model, and sense of community at both events were particularly noteworthy.

The Catalyst Symposium has now held over ten successful editions, with the momentum from Awka and Owerri continuing to spread. The organizers are committed to expanding this movement and supporting the next generation of leaders who will drive sustainable development and generational wealth in the South-East and beyond.
