Cam Ward Explains How Titans’ Offense Can Improve for NFL Season

Cam Ward is optimistic about improving the Tennessee Titans' offense for the upcoming NFL season. According to Ward, the key to success will be deep passes connecting between him and the team's receivers. He explained that while the defense makes it difficult to consistently throw downfield, when they do get those opportunities, the receiver has to capitalize. Ward stated that if they can master this aspect of the game, the offense will greatly improve.

Last season, Cam Ward, the team's No. 1 pick, threw for 3,169 yards and 15 touchdowns with a 59.8% completion percentage. His longest pass was 47 yards throughout the campaign. He had some playing time in Sunday night's win against the Seattle Seahawks, completing 69 yards on eight of 12 passes. For his sophomore season, Ward can look forward to connecting with rookie receiver Carnell Tate, who was a standout player at Ohio State. He will also be joined by returning players Dale Robinson and Calvin Ridley.

The projection for the Titans' total wins this season was 6.5, with neither the over nor the under being favored by sports books. This suggests that while Ward and the Titans could have an unexpected breakout season, it will likely take more than last season's three wins to achieve significant success. Ward's goal is for the team to achieve better things, such as a playoff appearance.

The Titans conclude their preseason with a game against the Chicago Bears on Saturday, August 29. Their regular season opener is against the Jets on Sunday, September 13, which could be an early win for the team.
