Caleb Amisi: Ruto will be removed through a revolution if re-elected

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has warned that President William Ruto could face a revolution if he is re-elected in the 2027 general election. Speaking on Monday, Amisi stated that Ruto should not be re-elected, warning that the young generation he claims to have frustrated would still be around to demand change. Amisi urged against the possibility of Ruto being re-elected, predicting that if it happened, he would likely be removed by a revolution.

He emphasized that the young and restless generation left frustrated by Ruto would still be present to demand change. Amisi, who has been a vocal leader calling for Ruto's rejection in the 2027 general election, has advocated for the president to serve only one term. Currently, he leads the People’s Movement (PM), which he says is seeking to challenge the status quo and remove Ruto.

Amisi criticized the Linda Mwananchi movement, which he claims has lost its original meaning and objective, and plans to use his People’s Movement to elect new and credible leaders to the National Assembly and Senate. These leaders would be prepared to initiate a motion against Ruto if he is elected again. Amisi also called for the use of nominations to select the United Opposition’s presidential candidate, arguing that boardroom negotiations could allow Ruto to secure another term.

His comments come as opposition leaders intensify their efforts to position themselves for the 2027 general election and push for a united front against the Kenya Kwanza administration.
