‘Borrowed makeup artist’s bike’: Suneel Darshan recalls Akshay Kumar’s secret wedding rush

The couple, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, had a pact that if Twinkle's film Mela failed at the box office, she would marry Akshay without causing any delay.

When Aamir Khan's film Mela did not perform well, the couple decided to go ahead with their marriage. However, their wedding was far from the grand event that many might imagine. Suneel recalled that the ceremony was a private affair, attended by only a few people, including the duo themselves. Akshay had a peculiar request for Suneel on his wedding day; he asked him to come with his family.

To maintain privacy, he borrowed his makeup artist's bike, donned a helmet, and left quickly. Suneel, in turn, went home to change before heading to the wedding. Darshan also expressed his dissatisfaction with Twinkle Khanna's comments on the film Mela. He felt she had spoken ill of the film and the director, which was not appropriate.
