Body of 16-year-old boy who got swept away in strong waves in Chinnamudaliar Chavadi recovered

The body of a 16-year-old boy, V. Sasidharan from Chinnamudaliar Chavadi in Villupuram district, was recovered on Monday after he was swept away by strong waves on Sunday. Sasidharan was among three friends, N. Pratheesh and R. Kaushik, both also 16, who went to the beach together on Sunday. The trio ventured into the water, causing them to be pulled into the sea.

While Kaushik was rescued by fishermen, Sasidharan and Pratheesh were not found. After receiving information, the fishermen and coastal police initiated a search operation, but they were unable to locate the missing boys. On Monday, Sasidharan's body was found near a private guest house in Periyamudaliar Chavadi and was sent to the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a post-mortem. Authorities have registered a case related to the incident.
