Barrister Gohar rejects claims about Imran Khan message

PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan dismissed rumors of a deal with the government, stating that founder Imran Khan would not have spent three years in jail if he had desired one. Speaking alongside PTI leader Sardar Latif Khosa outside the Supreme Court, Gohar affirmed that Khan sahib does not engage in deals and will not prolong his stay unnecessarily for tests and treatment.

He emphasized that any deal must not be discussed during his health matters. During the press conference, Gohar and Khosa sought to meet Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi regarding their contempt petition against the government's alleged breach of its August 18 order to relocate Imran to Shifa International Hospital. They were assured that a case number would be assigned, and the hearing would be scheduled promptly.

Gohar reiterated that the PTI founder's medical tests should be conducted privately with his family and personal physician involved. Meanwhile, Khosa mentioned that a case number for the petition was being secured in Lahore. Last week, Uzma Khan filed a contempt petition against officials for disregarding the August 18 order. The court mandated Imran's transfer to Shifa International Hospital for scrutiny by a medical board, including his sister and personal physician, Dr. Faisal Sultan.

The government contested the court's order, arguing it was discriminatory and violated prison rules. Despite the shift to Pims for further examinations, Imran remains under scrutiny as the government filed another review petition.
